faq for a dance session…

should i research and practice poses?

  • YES! absolutely!!

  • save some of your favorite dance pics on your phone

  • we will take pieces from those poses, modify them, and make a unique photo

  • also mood boards, greatly help with conveying your artistic vision

what if i am scare i won’t look good in my photos?

  • i was a dancer, i know dancers, and dancers trust me

  • I light for dancers, showing their fitness & muscle tone

  • i will teach you how to translate a 3d pose into a 2d photo

  • all photos are curated on site via ipad pro

  • you will have final veto of any photo

what should i wear?

  • wear what you can move in

  • bring a selection of outfits, more is better for studio sessions

  • if you know what seamless paper color you would like, bring outfits that coordinate with that background

  • we will style in the studio

how should i do my hair & makeup?

  • no spf— including those in makeup or moisturizers

  • for male dancers - some powder to reduce shine is great, but not required

  • for long hair, i personally recommend with starting hair up- ie bun, french twist, braids, ponytail

faq for a headshot session…

what should i wear?

  • wear what you would when you’re meeting a client

    and/or wear what you feel good in

  • colors that compliment your features

  • jewel tones are universally flattering

  • avoid prints or neon colors

  • avoid fashion trends, think timeless 

  • keep clothes clean, pressed, and with proper fit

how should i do my hair & makeup?

  • no spf— including those in makeup or moisturizers

  • avoid heavy makeup, should be a natural or best version of yourself

  • if possible, have a professional mua apply makeup beforehand

  • hair should be clean and styled

what is i have glasses?

  • if you usually wear glasses, wear them in your portrait

  • if you aren’t sure about wearing them, bring them just in case

  • if you wear contacts, seriously consider getting your lenses popped out of your glasses frame— they can be put back in, after your session
